New Event makes a Splash for Claire House Children’s Hospice
With fun, laughter and colour being what Claire House Children’s Hospice is all about, the charity is getting ready to launch its brightest, and messiest, event yet.
The Claire House Splash Dash is Merseyside’s most colourful fun run and the first event of its kind in the region. Participants wearing pristine white t-shirts will complete a 5k route around Liverpool’s Sefton Park on Saturday 28th September, being pelted at each kilometre point with plumes of powered paint, creating a rainbow of colour at the finish line.
The paint, made of coloured cornflower, is eco-friendly and completely hypoallergenic; participants will be encouraged to get messy and have fun, making it the perfect event for families and children. Old clothes, shoes and possibly a pair of swimming goggles are the order of the day. A fabulous family fun fayre in the park will complete the event, giving everyone a chance to participate in more colour-fun.
The Claire House Splash Dash will raise funds for Claire House Children’s Hospice, the Bebington-based facility which provides respite and support to children and young people with complex medical conditions and their families.
